LUKE BURNS

Luke Burns is a professional guitar player born in Hawkes Bay.

 

Picking up guitar at the age of 10, he has gained a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance with honours from The New Zealand School of Music in Wellington, and a Diploma in classical guitar performance through Trinity College, London.

Luke has many hours of live performance experience in an array of genres including jazz, R&B/soul, gypsy jazz and metal performance.

Luke's approach to teaching encourages musical exploration, self-discovery and improvisation. He hasan in-depth understanding of music theory and incorporated piano  and guitar into his composition and study when gaining his Bachelor of Music.
